Resort Night was a Success! Many Thanks!

We had a very successful Resort Night on November 7 and the biggest crowd in years. There were almost 90 people in attendance with us picking up some new members. The Silent Auction brought in over $500. Thanks to all who donated items and those who bought them. There were 30 items donated and bought by
Club members. We will use the money to offset the costs of the night.

A HUGE THANKS TO BILL QUICKEL AND THE BELPRE SHRINE CLUB MEMBERS
WHO ALLOWED US TO USE THEIR WONDERFUL FACILITY.

Thanks also to Bill forbeing the “Master of Prizes” not only at Resort Night but at every Ski Club meeting. He is one of our most hard working and valuable members. What would we do without him!

Thanks to Rex Heimberger from Holiday Valley Resort, NY; Midge Russell from Wisp Resort, MD; Laura Hornbrook from Seven Springs, PA; Erica Bittner from Snowshoe, WV; and Karen Rhodes from Canaan Valley, WV. They made the long trip and gave great presentations and prizes from their resorts. Thanks also to Darlene Copeland from Hydro-Tech Glass who produced the etched Ohio Valley Ski Club glassware and Julie Smith from Shirt Tales for the Ohio Valley Ski Club apparel.

ENORMOUS THANKS to Linda and Dave Cyrus for their excellent job of catering the food and beverages for the night – I could never have done that without you all. Also thanks to Linda who helped me set up tables and did the beautiful decorations. I also want to thank the “Techno Team” Debbie Johnston and Don Tanner. Thank you to Becky Tanner – “gatekeeper extraordinaire”. Thanks to all who arranged and then rearranged the tables and chairs and helped clean up the building. Also thanks to Bob Hein who got up early and appeared on the WTAP Daybreak Show to plug the Ski Club and Resort Night.

This was truly a SKI CLUB event with many, many workers and helpers. It could not have been accomplished without everyone’s help and I truly, truly appreciate everyone who helped in any way. If I forgot anyone, I apologize and please accept my Thanks.
