Parkersburg Paddlefest – September 19th 8am – 1pm

PaddleFestJoin us on a paddle from Point Park in Parkersburg to Blennerhassett Island and back. The Coast Guard is closing the river for us and only folks we issue permits to are permitted on the river. We only issue permits to human-powered craft! Enjoy a great day on the river with fellow paddlers!The Parkersburg Paddlefest is a mass paddling event that launches from Parkersburg’s Point Park and lands on Blennerhassett Island State Park, one of WV’s most visited state parks! Paddlers will then return to Point Park in Parkersburg.
The river will be closed Saturday, September 19, 2014 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. for all but human-powered craft registered in the event! ONLY PARTICIPANTS WITH REGISTRATION WRIST BANDS WILL BE PERMITTED ON THE RIVER.

Current rates  of $20 per person are in effect until September 5, 2015. Rate will increase to $35 per paddler after September 5th.

*This event is hosted by Lapping Your Couch Adventures, not the Ohio Valley Ski Club.  We encourage our ski club to participate as a group!  If you would like to paddle with the ski club, meet at the point at 10 am.  Wear your green bandana so we can easily group up or look for green bandana’s out on the river if you don’t make it by 10.

Paddlers must provide their own equipment.
Registration is non-refundable.
No inflatable boats permitted.
Coast Guard approved floatation devices MUST be worn by every paddler.
