There are several ways to get to the island!<\/div>\n
    \n
  1. Meet at the Belpre boat ramps in Civitan Park for transportation to Blennerhassett Island on Don and Dottie Gearhart\u2019s pontoon boat!\u00a0 Free for ski club members! \u00a0Debbie and Jimmy Johnston may also help shuttle with their pontoon later in the afternoon.\n
      \n
    1. Gearharts\u00a0will shuttle ski club members to the island between 11:00-11:30 and bring back between 2:30-3:00.\u00a0 If you miss the boat, and need a ride, just call Don at 304-481-1793 and he\u2019ll pick you up.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a02. \u00a0Jump on the Sternwheel at Point Park. \u00a0$10 per adult, $8 per child \u00a0Tickets available at Blennerhassett \u00a0 Museum.<\/div>\n
      <\/div>\n
        \n
      1. Kayak, canoe or bring your own boat and meet us there!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
        Bring snacks or a covered dish to share, and your own drinks.\u00a0 We\u2019ll pick a place on the island for our food stash to share.<\/div>\n

        Once you\u2019re on the island you can:
        \nRent Bikes
        \nTour the Mansion
        \nVisit the gift shop
        \nTake a horse and buggy cart tour
        \nWalk around the island
        \nSnack bar available<\/p>\n

        All of the tours are inexpensive. \u00a0You can view the rates here.<\/a> \u00a0If you haven\u2019t been to the island, you\u2019re in for a treat.\u00a0 It\u2019s a small taste of history, and a true gem of a state park right in our backyard.\u00a0 Plus, thanks to the Gearhart\u2019s, there is free transportation and a chance to hang out on a pontoon boat for a while.
        \nIf you\u2019d rather bring your own boat, kayak, canoe or stand-up paddle board, just paddle over!<\/p>\n

        We were treated to Dan Fowler\u2019s story about the restoration of the island at the June ski club meeting.\u00a0 Dan\u2019s father, Dan Fowler Senior, was the Archaeologist from Morgantown who was hired to turn the island into a state park.\u00a0 His unique perspective on the island was interesting and entertaining.\u00a0 Thanks so much to Dan for sharing his inside view with the ski club.\u00a0 If you missed the meeting, Dan is a ski club member, so be sure to ask him about it.<\/p>\n
