Join us for a fun day on the Ohio River and\u00a0Blennerhassett<\/span>\u00a0Island<\/span><\/a>!<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are tacking the river play day onto the Paddlefest event. \u00a0So, you can paddle your canoe, kayak or paddleboards in the morning, and then play on the river or hang out on the pontoon boat in the afternoon!<\/p>\n

The river will open up for boat traffic at 1:00 pm, after the paddlefest event. \u00a0That’s when the pontoon boat and picnic on the Island will start!<\/p>\n

There are several ways to get to the\u00a0island!<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Meet at the Belpre boat ramps in Belpre Civitan Park<\/a> for transportation to Blennerhassett\u00a0Island\u00a0on Don and Dottie Gearhart\u2019s pontoon boat! \u00a0**Look for the ski club banner on the Gearhart’s boat! \u00a0Go to the boat ramp area, not the beach area. \u00a0Free for ski club members! Debbie and Jimmy Johnston may also help shuttle with their pontoon later in the afternoon.\n

    1. Gearharts\u00a0will shuttle ski club members to the\u00a0island\u00a0between\u00a01:00 – 1:30\u00a0<\/span>and bring back between 4:00-4:30<\/span>.\u00a0 If you miss the boat, and need a ride, just call Don at\u00a0304-481-1793<\/a>\u00a0and he\u2019ll pick you up.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      2. \u00a0Jump on the Sternwheel at Point Park. \u00a0$10 per adult, $8 per child \u00a0Tickets available at\u00a0Blennerhassett Museum<\/a>.<\/p>\n

      1. Kayak, canoe or bring your own boat and meet us there!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Bring snacks or a covered dish to share, and your own drinks.\u00a0 We\u2019ll pick a place on the\u00a0island\u00a0for our food stash to share.<\/p>\n

        Once you\u2019re on the\u00a0island\u00a0you can:
        \nRent Bikes
        \nTour the Mansion
        \nVisit the gift shop
        \nTake a horse and buggy cart tour
        \nWalk around the\u00a0island
        \nSnack bar available<\/p>\n

        All of the tours are inexpensive. \u00a0You can view the rates here.<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0If you haven\u2019t been to the\u00a0island, you\u2019re in for a treat.\u00a0 It\u2019s a small taste of history, and a true gem of a state park right in our backyard.\u00a0 Plus, thanks to the Gearhart\u2019s, there is free transportation and a chance to hang out on a pontoon boat for a while.<\/p>\n

        If you\u2019d rather bring your own boat, kayak, canoe or stand-up paddle board, just paddle over!<\/p>\n
