We encourage\u00a0Ohio Valley Ski Club Members to get together this Saturday to participate in the Parkersburg Paddlefest. \u00a0As a reminder, the Paddlefest is hosted by Lapping the Couch Adventures in Parkersburg. \u00a0The Ski Club is encouraging our members to meet on the point at 10 and paddle together for a great morning. \u00a0There are also Friday evening and Sunday activities with the Paddlefest, read below.<\/div>\n

After the Paddlefest, the Ohio Valley Ski Club is continuing at 1:00 that afternoon with a river play day. \u00a0We’ll have two pontoon boats taking members to Blennerhasset Island.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Paddlefest is only days away and we are excited to welcome you to our paddling party!\u00a0 We have 3 days of events for the festival. Here are some details.<\/p>\n

\n\u200b<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

BOAT DROP OFF – You may leave your boat at Point Park starting Friday<\/span><\/span> at 1 pm until 9 pm<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0 A guard will watch your boat overnight.\u00a0 There will be no cars allowed into the park on Saturday until after the event.\u00a0 You may carry your boat to the launch Saturday<\/span><\/span> morning (a couple hundred yards) but may not drive in.\u00a0 Folks with a permit will be allowed to drive into the park after the event to retrieve their boats.\u00a0 All boats must have an event permit to be left overnight.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

LIFEVESTS must be PROPERLY WORN at all times.<\/div>\n

\n\u200bLIVE MUSIC will be at the market from 5 – 7 p.m.<\/span><\/span> on Friday evening.\u00a0 There are some great places in the market to grab a bite to eat.\u00a0 We are located at the end of the Market at 113 Ann Street, Parkersburg, WV\u00a0 26101.\"\"

\nPermits are available for pick-up Friday<\/span><\/span> from 10 am – 7 pm<\/span><\/span> at our shop.\u00a0 You can register the day of the event.\u00a0 Registration will be open from 7 am – 8 am<\/span><\/span> on Saturday.\u00a0 Online registration is available until Thursday<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0 You can register at the shop anytime we are open.\u00a0 Online registration is available here:\u00a0 https:\/\/squareup.com\/market\/LTCA<\/a><\/div>\n

Friday<\/span><\/span> night
\nAt 7:30 p.m.<\/span><\/span> there is a night paddle scheduled on the Little Kanawha River.\u00a0 This is a free event.\u00a0 Lights are required front and rear on your boat and an event waiver must be signed.\u00a0 We have lights available for sale if you need some.<\/p>\n

Saturday<\/span><\/span> 8 am – 1 pm<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The main event!\u00a0 The Ohio River will be closed to only Paddlefest Participants with permits on their boats and wrists!\u00a0 Permits are available for pick-up Friday from 10 am – 7 pm<\/span><\/span> at our shop. We will paddle from Point Park to the West Virginia side of the Island and land at the second ramp.\u00a0 Paddle back to the Point Park by 1 p.m. and then join us in the Market and share your experience.\u00a0 Head out to North Bend for Sunday’s<\/span><\/span> fun.<\/p>\n

Meet at Cokely Boat Ramp at North Bend State Park on Sunday<\/span><\/span> for a group paddle.\u00a0 The best paddling in the area without a doubt.\u00a0 This event is free but a waiver must be signed.<\/p>\n
